carelessly feared

your purity was always so fine,
but a twist of fate, so entwined
you wanted, and pushed to find
veils of silk fronting steel

you wanted a concept of 'mine'
I turned away and callously denied
another lost chance unfound
lost, alone, I wanted to heal

you gave a kiss; as if to claim
something that I fail to give
afraid of choice, consequence
confronted, with reasons to live

to hide from that, I sought chaos
with it's freedom in creation;
made peace with it's twin
now I hear you calling again...
